Giving Feedback and Submitting Feature Requests (Roadmap)

Insight into how we process your input, the criteria that determine development, and how our Design Panel contributes to the practical nature of VenueSuite.

Although we take every suggestion extremely seriously, we cannot implement every individual request directly. Our software is designed as a scalable solution for a broad commercial market; we therefore prioritise features that have a positive impact on all our users.

Do you want to make a suggestion? Then describe not only the desired feature, but especially the business problem you want to solve with it. This helps our team to investigate whether an existing workflow already helps you, or if a new development is the best route.

How do we evaluate a Feature Request?

When a request for a new feature comes in, our product team tests it against a number of fixed criteria:

  • Market demand: How many different organisations have asked for this feature?
  • Usage intensity: Is the feature essential daily or is it an incidental addition?
  • Vision & Mission: Does the expansion fit with VenueSuite's long-term strategy?
  • User-friendliness: Does it make the software simpler or more complex?
  • General utility: Is the feature valuable for all our customers, or does it hinder the workflow of others?
  • Compliance: Does the change comply with laws and regulations regarding data security and privacy (GDPR).

From idea to go-live

Our development team works with a carefully planned Roadmap. Before a new feature goes 'live', it goes through a fixed process:

  1. Research: Analysis of the impact on the current system.
  2. Design & Development: Building the function according to our quality standards.
  3. Testing Phase: Extensive practical tests in our ecosystem to prevent errors. We always test extensively internally. For some functions, we ask a number of customers to beta test for us in practice so that we can dot the i's before the function is widely rolled out.
  4. Release: The function is made available for the relevant licences.

We are happy to keep you informed of the progress. As soon as there are innovations, we communicate this via our 'Feature Updates' by email. Do you have an idea for a business function that absolutely cannot be missed? Our Customer Success team would love to hear from you!

The VenueSuite Design Panel

In addition to individual feedback, we work intensively with our Design Panel. This is a select group of customers who actively think along with us about the future of VenueSuite and to whom we present ideas and designs at an early stage to get direct input.

We regularly discuss challenges that our design panel experiences in daily practice. We test new ideas and refine functions even before they are widely rolled out — entirely based on how things are in the real world.

For us, this is invaluable:

  • Direct feedback: Short lines of communication between the user and the creators.
  • Short feedback loops: Quick adjustments and course corrections during the development process.
  • Practice-oriented product: A result that seamlessly matches the actual needs in the market.
